From the Way of the Gods collection, these two cabinets are titled The Emperor and his Queen. They are dramatic, bold, and deeply rich in historical reference to Japanese history. Each cabinet is slightly different. Commonalities include materials - figured maple doors, hand made sterling silver cast maple leaves, ebonized walnut legs, painted interior. Both doors are cut away at the bottom to reveal glimpses of the interior when closed. The interior of the doors reveal spinning Sycamore pods as they are blow by the wind.
